Who the firm is and what Geraldine Lavin does.
Geraldine Lavin is a senior consultant specialising in the fields of (1) education and learning and (2) business development. She has extensive experience as a facilitator, trainer, lecturer and researcher across a range of business topics and trainee groups, including managers, employees, entrepreneurs, volunteers, students and the unemployed. As a trainer she specialises in developing and delivering programmes, as well as securing funding and evaluating programmes. Through combining a career in the third level sector while also working with businesses, Geraldine merges research-led critical thinking and academic rigor with a solid focus on practical application.
Geraldine has undertaken research involving hundreds of business managers for projects ranging from training needs analysis to academic publications to support material for training programmes.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a MSc in Management from UCD, as well as a postgraduate Certificate in Training and Continuing Education from Maynooth University.
Driving Industry Trends
Geraldine has contributed research and advice to the Management Development Council Report on SME Owner Manager training, published in 2010, and to the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs report, Leading the Way, on the same topic, published in October 2020. She is on the Networks and Clusters subgroup for the SME Taskforce, sits on the SFA National Executive Council and is a Member of the Dublin Regional Skills Forum as the Skillnet Ireland representative.
